lyrics

They stand there in silence watching every move of the king and queen.
Discuss their alliance, gossip in the land that they all believe.
I stood there in silence, summoned to the court by the queen and king.
They asked for a song full of love and whim and for me to sing.

A lovely day it’s always grand in this land. I bow my head to a maiden.
A gracious grin, I held within. Don’t you mind. I saw the smile in your eyes.
We’ll dance and sing inside the walls here of the chateau.
When no one’s looking then we’ll slip off to the meadows. In time.

They dine in splendor, all together on this day. Amidst the famine we don’t see.
Then thank the skies for food and wine if you may. You’ll take more than you need.
Our sentiments of merriment for our lords to enjoy in a tune.
The kingdom’s in prosperity and knows no gloom.
As everyone starts to leave, greeted by the moon.

We danced and sang inside the walls there of the chateau.
No one was looking then we slipped off to the meadows. And bye. Bye bye.

My dear Queen that I love, must I declare for you?
We’ve made a scene even though we had prepared to do
our foul deeds for the king. He lie deceased.
And I hope that we will find joy and happiness in time.

Though we both share our pain of this burden. Rejoice in our love dear together.
There’s nothing we can’t do in this world so long as our love lasts forever.

Velvet robe stained on the man that I have slain. In love’s name.
For my esteemed love, my Queen. As always.
Our flame will wither down to the wick and stay ablaze. Unchanged.

Though we both share our pain of this burden. Rejoice in our love dear together.
There’s nothing we can’t do in this world. So long as our love lasts forever.

Marvelous time. Let’s enjoy this marvelous time.
Marvelous time. Let’s enjoy this marvelous time. Time.

All along I’ve longed for nothing more your highness.
Though there is a bitterness that’s
growing strident.
I may have it all. Is it my downfall?
Though our hearts are filled
with guilt, we’re living lavish.
And I’m sure in time that all these
thoughts will vanish.
Always had it all.
Is it your downfall?

Must have everything.
Must have everything. Or nothing at all.
Must have everything.
Must have everything. It’s my downfall.

Now I don’t lack anything,
what’s left to live for?
Do I spend my days in bliss while
striving for more?
We may have it all. Is it our downfall?

Must have everything.
Must have everything. Or nothing at all.
Must have everything.
Must have everything. It’s my downfall.

As the days go on and on.
We’ll be prancing all about inside a garden.
Called upon just for a song.
I sincerely think that I must beg your pardon.

Waiting for my thoughts to change.
For it seems things are always the same.
